This sheer silk double-sided fuchsia and gold scarf is hand-woven by artisans in India who are part of the Silk Scarf Project. Created to help struggling communities in northern India, the project teaches rural villagers how to make these beautiful scarves entirely by hand. Imported by 108 Mala, who provides fair trade wages and benefits to artisans in India. The 100% natural silk shawl is 79" x 24". Hand wash or dry-clean.

The Silk Scarf Project was created to help struggling rural communities in northern India who depended solely on agriculture to survive. Children had to work on the farms, and fathers often had to leave for work in the city. The Silk Scarf Program teaches how to grow, spin, dye, and weave silk into beautiful scarves. This project has empowered women in the villages to earn an income and operate a business. 108 Mala imports these and other fair trade products to support artisans in need in India.
